2 more layouts to share

Hello all! I hope you had a great weekend, I sure did! This morning I had a THIRD interview for the place that I would LOVE to work. She said that she was very impressed with my experience, our meeting today, as well as what everyone said about me last week... So I am hoping that means good things! She said they will let me know by the end of the week. I can't wait!! Ugh!

Anyways, here are two layouts I did a couple weeks ago!

This layout was from a Creative Scrappers sketch that I never got around to entering! I used a lot of Amy Tan Plus One as well as some of her Sketchbook collection since they go so well together! :) This is a different kind of layout for me, but I really like how it turned out!

I put together this layout very quickly of my husband and my niece. I love to scrap those two! I used papers from the Maggie Holmes Flea Market 6x6 pad and some goodies from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by! Keep your prayers coming! THANK YOU!

2 Layouts to share

The last time I shared on my blog was March 13 -- so I think I am due! So many crazy things have been happening lately -- AGAIN! I can't seem to get out of the rain and thunder, but I have a feeling my rainbow and sunshine are coming soon! I am praying for that anyways!

Here are two layouts that have been waiting to be shared for awhile!

This layout was made with a cut file made by Paige Evans for Studio Calico. I loved it and HAD to get it! I used the Amy Tan Plus One collection!

A layout from my best friend's wedding! I used a Cameo cut file for the hearts and the "mr. & mrs." and did lots of heat embossing and ink splattering!

Thanks for stopping by! Its my Saturday off and I am going to go scrapbook!

Please send good thoughts and prayers my way!  I lost my job almost 2 weeks ago and last week I had to interviews for the same place and I go back on Monday to chat with someone else about it as well. I am SO excited that this is the job for me! :) Thanks!

You Make My Heart Smile

Here is another layout I completed using Dear Lizzy's Polka Dot Party! I wanted to get as many of these cute pictures of my niece on the page as I could!

I used the February cut files from Two Peas for the "Heart" and lots of the awesome stamp set from Elle's Studio!

Being 1 is Fun!

I completed this layout about a month ago and I am finally sharing it! I used Dear Lizzy's previous collection and did lots of layering in this grid design. Thanks for looking!

All My Heart

Here is a layout that I had originally planned on using Amy Tan's Plus One collection, but I used scraps from Sketchbook instead! Yes, I STILL have pieces of that collection. I just love it and I have been hoarding it, but it is slowly being used up!

The hearts, "always card," and "Heart" die cut are last month's TwoPeas cut files. I really like their cut files. I hardly ever buy cut files from the Silhouette store, so I find these worth it. I only buy them if I think I will use them multiple times!

Everything is from the Sketchbook collection except for the number paper and the "All My" transparent letters.

Thanks for looking!

Love Love Love Love

Another "me" themed layout with things about me this month (er well, last month)! I am doing the monthly "me" themed layouts with inspiration from Corrie Jones. I've said it before and will never stop saying it -- she is my scrapbooking idol! She just put up an amazing layout today for Crate Paper. Swoon!

I found a random photo I took of myself at work last month when my niece wanted to Facetime with me, but I wasn't able to. I used Studio Calico's Print Shop collection and the fun new cut files from TwoPeas and went to work! I really wanted to do a black background and have the whites and other subtle colors pop. I did 6 facts about me right now. I feel like they are always the same!

Wild & Free

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I worked Thur-Sun evenings and will go back tonight to work the night shift! Uffda!

I completed this layout for the Bokeh challenge at Scrapbook Circle. I am really missing getting their kits, but like that I can still participate in their challenges.

I didn't really have any bokeh paper, maybe one or two pieces. So I went with a bokeh picture instead! This was the perfect photo to add bokeh to.

I used the wild and free collection from Glitz Design and a couple other pieces from my stash! I just love that background paper!

Its definitely not my favorite layout by any means, but it turned out cute! Thanks for looking!

Just My Size

I created this page for Creative Scrappers sketch #261. Honestly, the sketch didn't really appeal to me, but I made it work. I have a hard time with sketches like this. I tend to scrap in one big cluster.. so for this one I just did two big clusters.

I used the really old line Summer's End by Fancy Pants and went to work. This line has been sitting around in my stash for a long time and I've always really liked it, just never used it for anything. Done! I used it! I also pulled in a few pieces from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. That is still one of my favorite collections!

I am not a fan of how I did the title, but I am just going to go with it!

Thanks for checking it out! :)

I Love U

I am here today with a layout I created for the Hip Kit Club layout challenge. The challenge was to use their inspiration mood board. I used the I <3 U poster from the mood board and a layout by Ashley Horton.

I have been saving that Elle's Studio paper for quite some time and found those black Thickers in my stash. They were all falling off the sticker page so I thought it would be a good font that I had to use almost every letter of the alphabet from!

The patterned paper that I used was scraps from my stash. I used the new Elle's Studio stamps and lots of enamel dots!

The red Thickers are a newer set from a Christmas collection.

The photos were from my husband's 30th birthday party. Thanks for looking!

You + Me = Love

Hello everyone! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend (even though it is already Wednesday evening now)! I worked all weekend and Monday and Tuesday so today felt like the first day after the weekend! :)

I finished this layout last week. It was actually just a quick one that I threw together. The longest part was cutting out the files on my Cameo and gluing them down! They got sticky!

I used a cut file from my Cameo and cut them all out on white cardstock and used different red and pink gelatos to water color them. I had some left over white hearts from another project that I added. The cards were from the Simple Stories 4x6 pack and I used a few tags from Elle's Studio, added some enamel dots, and some misting!

This one had a lot less layers than I normally do, but it is still really my style!

Thanks for checking it out!

Lake Superior Love

Happy Monday everyone! I had a good first weekend back at work and I work again today at three and tomorrow at 7am. Then I will have 5 days off.. yay! :)

I am here to share a layout I made with inspiration from Paige Evan's again! She did a lot of paper tearing on her layout. I tried to do it like her's and just could not make it work, but I made it work in my own paper tearing way!

I used Crate Paper's The Pier collection. Last spring/summer I couldn't WAIT to get my hands on this collection and ever since I did..... I have had a hard time using it! I don't know. There is bits and pieces of it I really like.. and parts I don't like. I don't like all the kraft that it came with I guess, but I was able to make one piece make due!

Most of the torn pieces came from the 6x6 pad, but a few came from 12x12 sheets as well. I used different pieces from the sticker sheets and the ephemera pack.

The gold stickers come from The Pier sticker sheet and the brown thickers are Amy Tan from her Ready Set Go line. "This is the Life" tag is from Chic Tags.

I love to tuck in fun elements! Thanks for checking this out and don't forget to check my other posts from this past weekend!

Bundled Baby

I am back today to upload a layout before I head off to work for the evening! So my hopes and wishes ended up caving in. I have decided that I am better off just scrapbooking for myself. I think that I get my hopes up way too high to think I can design for someone. Plus, I have heard of so many designers becoming burnt out and I don't want that to happen to me. I love to scrapbook and I am good enough for me!

So back to my layout! This layout is inspired by a layout done by Paige Evans, another scrapbooker whom I admire. I just love what she does with patterned paper.

I used the Studio Calico Magical collection again and just went ahead cutting strips of the patterned paper and then adhering the to my layout. I put some paper layers behind the photo, did some outlining, and added only a few embellishments to this layout. It really didn't need anything more!

I embossed those old snowflake wood veneers that I found in my stash with white opaque embossing powder, cut "baby" from my Cameo from a phrase that said "baby love," added some journaling, and black mist drops!

I love this font of thickers and if you look closely.... well, that really isn't the "e" that comes with the pack! It is actually a "c!" I love making things work! Thanks for checking out my layout and for the great comments you have all been leaving lately. I love it and it really means a lot to me, especially on the last post which was a tough one! I am so thankful to have such wonderful scrappy friends! :)

From Happiness to Heartbreak

This layout was extremely hard for me to do. The design was easy, but the courage it took to write down my feelings was very hard. I wanted to make a design in which I had a lot of room for journaling and thought that a heart that was going off the page would be perfect. A heart because it symbolizes love and the sunburst that shows that even though going through this rough time, the sun is still shining in our lives.

I used teal, black, white, and gray for my color scheme and I love it! I cut the heart out with my cameo and made the lines for where I wanted the sunburst pieces to go. Then I traced them onto the patterned paper I wanted to use and then glued it all down to a piece of cardstock! I sewed around the heart with black floss to emphasize it. I found some gray and black scraps of paper and layered the beneath my photo along with an Elle's Studio tag and washi tape. For the title I used the new alphas from Elle's Studio and some older ones from Jenni Bowlin.

I stamped an embossed a heart from the new Elle's Studio Love You More stamp set and used an arrow paper clip to point towards the title.

I used two of the die cuts from the Studio Calico Print Shop collection.

Thanks for looking and for your comments. This page means a lot to me and I am glad that I did it. I am back to work tomorrow!

Keep me in your Heart

Good morning! Today I am sharing a layout that I created using a sketch from Elle's Studio. I kept the basic concept of the sketch, but kind of went off on my own as well.

I used quite a few elements from the Elle's Studio Love You More collection including two stamps and the frame, note card, word snippets, and teal heart. Oh! And their new alphas! I keep forgetting about those. I used papers from the Pebbles and Crate Paper Valentine's lines. I cut the background paper (Amy Tan) with my Silhouette to be able to layer the hearts underneath the paper and then pop some up on top of the paper with pop dots.

The title comes from that little Pooh quote - "If ever there comes a day that we're not together, keep me in your heart and I will stay there forever." I absolutely love it. I love those pink Thickers too -- and they come with HEARTS! Very cool.

I found some embroidery floss and ripped it all apart to make a cluster underneath one of the Elle's tags and threw some enamel dots in there as well. I still had those Pink Paislee mistable hearts sitting out from my last project so I found a place for it on this layout too! Great way to use up my stash.

I added another embroidery floss, tag, and enamel dot cluster and outlined the entire page with my black marker, as well as used the neat heart/arrow stamp from Elle's Studio on each side of page. Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments!

Capture Hope

One of my greatest scrapbooking designers is by far Corrie Jones. Her work is beyond awesome. Each month she completes a layout about herself and what she is feeling. This month I wanted to do the same. Better this month than any of the previous 5! :)

I had fun with this layout and actually completed it pretty quickly. I started with the star background that I cut with my Cameo. The cut file came from the Silhouette store. I used all Studio Calico Print Shop papers for this layout and didn't want to use one of the the 12x12 sheets as the full background so I went to my old stash of DCWV paper pads and found one that matched. I really need to dig into those more often! I am even thinking about using the back of some of them, which is white, to get using them!

I put different papers from the 6x6 pad behind all of the different sized stars. I layered the leftover pieces behind my photo and found the black and white word paper and used my exacto knife to cut out the word "capture" from the paper. I wrote 5 different facts/feelings about me right now and added some other fun embellishments such as Freckled Fawn stars, new stamps from Elle's Studio, sequins, and those older mistable hearts from Pink Paislee.

I am loving the new "Love You More" stamp set by Elle's Studio!

Thanks for checking out my layout and your comments. Have a wonderful day!

Glow of Christmas

Here I am with a fun Christmas layout featuring photos of my darling niece and a sketch from My Scraps and More.

I didn't like how stark white plain the background was with all of the photos and layers focused towards the bottom, so I added all of the watercolor marks using my red and gold gelatos! I love how it turned out. I used papers from the Studio Calico Christmas line, which I fell in love with right away (and I normally don't like their Christmas lines). I finally opened up the Maggie Holmes overlay frames and used two of them on this page. They have been sitting in my stash for TOO LONG!

I cut my title using my Silhouette Cameo. I originally just had the one layer of the gray, but it was blending in too much so I added the red background to it to make it stick out more. I LOVE those wood veneer stars from Studio Calico and embossed them with gold embossing powder.

I added some sequins and washi tape to finish it off! I also used a roller date stamp for the current challenge at Scrapbook Circle. Something I use all the time!

Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments!
