THREE months old!

Our little pumpkin is now THREE months old!  It is hard to believe it has already been three months since she has been born.  The time has gone by so much.  She is growing by leaps and bounds each and every day and she is learning new things all the time.  Every moment that I get to spend with her is a blessing.  She is a blessing.  I am so thankful that God has blessed us with such a wonderful daughter.  What a miracle.

I started writing this post for her 2 month update and never got around to posting it.  So it will be a little of her 2 and 3 month update all rolled into one!  I have started and stopped this post multiple times so it will be choppy.  Sorry!

Amelia had her 2 month appointment on Wednesday, February 19.  She weighed 12.3lbs and was 23 inches long.  She hasn't gotten any taller (which is good because her clothes are getting tighter), but she has gained some weight since her 1 month appointment!  The pediatrician checked her over from head to toe and said that everything looks great.  She says she is growing as she should and she is doing great developmentally.  Everyone was impressed with how well she holds her head up and how much she talks!  She was so smiley and talkative until she had her shots.  She was a trooper and cried a little bit when she got her shots and then slept the rest of the afternoon.  She was a little fussy in the evening, but by bedtime she was as happy as a lark!

It has been so much fun to watch her grow over the past month.  She just loves to sit up and see what is going on.  She holds her head up so well.  She loves to grab and kick at things in her play gym.  She is now following us and toys with her eyes.  She enjoys being read and sang to.  She spits up.. a lot.  She is starting to drool.  She loves tummy time and enjoys doing planks.  She still loves to snuggle.  I don't think I ever want that to end.  She is SO SO SO smiley.  She is just a happy baby.  She is starting to coo and talk.  She now realizes that she can talk and sometimes does it so loud.  She loves her binkie and if she can't find that she will stick her hand or her thumb in her mouth - and it is always her right hand.  She wakes up once during the night to nurse.  She is a good baby!

Here are some of Amelia's TWO month photos.

Do you think I am "tu tu cute?"

I was pretty exciting to go spend the evening with Papa and Nana!

I love my Papa so much.  I was singing for him.

This is one of my mommy's favorite pictures of me.  Like my smirk?

I was so excited to leave on our mini vacation to Detroit Lakes!

I went swimming for the very first time!

My daddy held on tight to me.

We zonked later that night.

My hair gets all curly after my bath.  I still love bath time.

Sometimes I get so tired while I am playing that I just fall asleep.

Just chillin with my Nana and cousin Lainey.

I was comfy in my cousin Lainey's arms.

Like my cool onesie from my Auntie Shannie?  Well then I will spit up on it!

I like to spend time with my Grandma Rose.

I am already wrapped around my daddy's finger.

This is my cousin Hudson!  He is 5 months older than me.

Sometimes I get sad.  Not much though.

I went shopping with my mommy and Nana.  It was a lot of fun.

Sometimes I just can't contain my excitement.

Can you do planks?  I can.

Peekaboo!!

You are just the best Papa!

Good morning smiles.

Selfies with mommy.

Our little girl turned three months old on March 17.  She is growing and changing everyday and definitely developing her own little personality.  She is such a happy girl.  You can just look at her and smile and she will give you the sweetest smile back.  It melts my heart.  I love her so much!

She has been through a lot in the past month.  She got sick for the first time after about 2 weeks at daycare.  Not surprised, but it is a good thing as well so she can build an immunity.  She ended up with a right ear infection and a pretty cruddy cold.  Then mommy and daddy got sick with it as well.  It was a family affair.  It took about two weeks for her to fully recover from the cold, but she is good now!

She was baptized on February 22 with many of her family present.  We are so thankful that we are able to bring her up in the church and with such supportive family.  Thank you so much for all those attended and helped us celebrate and for all of the wonderful gifts.  We appreciate it very much.

Those of you who know Amelia well, know that she has been working on holding her head up since days home from the hospital.  You know that she has always enjoyed sitting up.  We were warned that she was going to move early.  They were right!  Amelia has mastered holding her head up and she rolled over from her tummy to her back for the first time on March 7.  I could hardly believe it, but I guess I wasn't really surprised either.  She is a mover.  The video is super adorable and she gives us a big smile afterwards.  Such a ham.  Daddy is always working with her to do it and is even working on getting her to do it from her back to her tummy as well.  Sometimes she rolls from her back to her side.  Ugh.  She is just growing up too fast!

Amelia even slept through the night for the first time on March 18 and did for 3 nights in a row!!  On the fourth night (last night) she slept until about 4:30, so we will see how it will continue to go.  When our alarm went off on the first morning, I woke up in a complete panic and ran into the closet (yes, we are keeping her bed in our walk-in closet for the time being) and put my hand over her chest because I couldn't see anything without my glasses.  She startled as soon as I put my hand over her chest and I calmed down a little bit, but boy, my heart was beating SO fast.  13 weeks of getting up once during the night and suddenly she stops?  Yeah, enough to wake me up in a panic.

At 3 months Amelia LOVES to sit up.  We even got her a new chair that she would probably enjoy sitting in almost all day.  She has mastered holding her head up.  She loves to put her hands in her mouth much to our dismay.  She still loves her binkie when she keeps it in her mouth.  She loves when you shake toys in front of her.  She likes to hold on to her O-balls and her rattle.  She loves to be read to.  She loves tummy time and playing with her daddy.  She still loves to snuggle.  She still loves baths and even likes showers too.  She rode in the stroller for the first time when it was nice out and she loves that too.  She still spits up a lot and she is starting to get really drooly. She is a very content, happy baby.

3 months old - March 17, 2015

Mommy had to put me in this chair so I wouldn't lean forward.

Or else this happens.  Heehee.

I get to sit at the supper table too!

I slept in my pack and play all night long!

What up?

Like my new cow from my great aunt and uncle?  I'm even wearing my shleeper to show it off!

I get to sit at the supper table with mommy and daddy, but this is what happens most nights.

My Papa just loves to cuddle me.

And my Nana always makes me smile.

I had my first bad cold while I was staying at my Papa and Nana's for the weekend.

Mommy and daddy took me to urgent care.  I was a trooper!

Still a happy girl though!  I love hanging out in my diaper.

Like my "Farm Girl" outfit from my Auntie Rhiannon?

Big smiles for mommy while I am at daycare.

I enjoy sucking my thumb.

Are you looking at me?!

Like my cute outfit?  Pretty sure I am going to have a blow out in it later.

I love to help mommy with laundry already.. or just look cute in my laundry basket!

Hold my head up?  Check.

Seriously mama?

Do I look chubby in this John Deere onesie from my aunt and uncle?

Outside?  This is new!

I could totally do this stroller thing every day.

Mommy wants another picture with me.

Someone once said my cheeks were squeezable.

My eyes show how blue they are in the sunlight.

SOOO happy to wear this John Deere outfit from my aunt Carol.

I even got John Deere socks!

Just hanging out with my Grandpa Randy!

Oh, do you want me to smile?  No problem!  I'll even roll over if you'd like.

Just rolling with my daddy.

You looking at me?

Zonked.

Mommy says I shouldn't put my thumb in my mouth.  What does she know?

I still look at her in awe.  She is such a miracle to me.  Sometimes Ryan and I laugh at each other because we just sit there and stare at her.  She truly memorizes us.   We are so in love.  It is funny how the simplest thing like holding her ball makes me so proud of her.  I am so thankful for her and Ryan.  I am blessed.
