High Fives and You are my Best Ever

Here I am with some more layouts!  I am LOVING that I am able to scrapbook again.  I can't get a lot done at once, but that is okay.  I've come to terms with the fact that I can't always complete a layout in one sitting.

I love that collections are putting dark blue in the color scheme.  You don't see it very much and I love it!  Especially with pink and turquoise.  So pretty!  Here is a photo of my sweet babe at 5 months.  What a hunny!  I used the Tiny Type alphas from The Cut Shoppe to make the title.  To make them pop, I used foam adhesive and put blue behind them.

I just love this photo of my sweet babe and I.  I used a pretty pink/dark pink color to complement the photo and added some gold to make it pop.  The cut file is Love All Around from The Cut Shoppe.  It is not my favorite layout that I've made lately, but it is pretty.  Plus, any layout that I make that can document my sweet little girl is a good one.  I am loving scrapbooking photos of her!  Lord knows I have thousands of them!

My Heart Is Full and Let Her Sleep

I'm back with two more layouts to share.  The first is a photo of my husband and my baby girl when she wasn't quite 2 months old yet.  My husband is such a wonderful father and we are definitely not short on photos of the two of them together, but this one just melts my heart.

I used a the cut file Sweet Hearts from The Cut Shoppe and lots of different papers from the Kiss Kiss 6x6 paper pad collection.  I just love those 12x12 chipboard shapes that Crate Paper always has.  I think they are so worth the money!  I decided to add the journaling around the heart.

This layout is the very first layout I did of my baby girl.  I have SO SO SO many photos of Amelia sleeping in my arms.  It seems that is all we did on my maternity leave besides nurse.  I took six of them and fit them in this awesome cut file (Squared Away) from The Cut Shoppe.  I backed each square with different papers from the Serendipity collection by Dear Lizzy.  I love all the puffy stickers I used on this layout and the Thickers and flair button is quite old.  I love using up old stuff!

I'll be back soon with more layouts!!

You Are Mine and Cute & Sweet

I can't even tell you the last time I shared a layout.  Over the past year or so I have been using this blog as a way to document my pregnancy... and my wonderful baby girl that was born in December.  Of course, I still plan to do updates of Amelia and our family life, but I want to get back into blogging in the scrapbook world.

With that comes scrapbooking again!  A newborn and young baby is a lot of work and just did not even leave time to scrapbook.  Amelia is now over 7 months old and I have time to sit down and complete layouts -- super exciting!  It may not always been long periods of time at once, but any time is good time!  Amelia is so great about entertaining herself.  I just put her down on the blanket in the living room right next to my scrap space and she plays away.  I sure love that girl.

I am just LOVING the cut files made by Ashley Horton and The Cut Shoppe.  It seems I haven't been able to do a layout without one.

For this layout I used a sweet picture of me and my 2 week old baby girl on New Years Eve.  I used the Sweet Hearts cut file from The Cut Shoppe to get those neat string art hearts.  I wanted to continue the string art look so I did so with embroidery floss to make "mine."  After starting the "m" I realized I should have split the floss in half so it wasn't so think, but it still turned out well.

I LOVE Valentine's Day collections.  Not because I love Valentine's Day, but I LOVE hearts.  And I love pink.  And I had a baby girl -- so I can use all the hearts and pink that I want to!  I used the Candy Hearts cut file from The Cut Shoppe for this layout.  These photos were taken on Amelia's first Valentine's Day in her cute little heart outfit.  I love this ombre paper and those sweet heart balloons.

Stay tuned for more!  Thanks for looking!
